To date Shyne has produced two 75% Arabian Part Bred fillies for Chetar Arabians, and in both instances has well and truly exceeded my expectations for the breedings, and has produced such high quality offspring that her place in my breeding program has been definitively cemented in place! Shyne is now one of my most valued of mares! Both of Shyne's fillies to date have been retained and will join me in the show ring prior to joining the Broodmare ranks here.

CHETAR EL ZAHIRAH - 2008/09 Season Filly
On New Years Day morning 2009, Chetar El Zahirah arrived. Zahirah is a solid Bay Minimal Rabicano 75% Part Bred Arabian. Zahirah is the only Part Bred Arabian and one of only three foals [two of them fillies] ever sired by the now gelded Straight Egyptian Stallion 'Kaysand Prince Of Dreams'.
CHETAR EL JAHZARA - 2009/10 Season Filly
In early December, Shyne outdid herself yet again and presented me with the first born daughter sired by my Purebred Stallion 'Azzaam', and the first Coloured 75% Arabian Filly born at Chetar Arabians! Jahzara is a Flaxen Chestnut Tobiano + Sabino Overo, and possibly also Rabicano as well, with all of the extreme type of the highest quality Purebred Arabian! Jazz's every coloured breeders' dream result and there's just no way I could be happier with the cross.
Shyne will most definitely be rebred to Azzaam, and I'll be hoping with that I have that I'm blessed with a duplicate of the beautiful Chetar El Jahzara!

The beautiful Shyning Lyte originally came to Chetar Arabians on lease, but when the opportunity to purchase her was presented to me, I didn't hesitate. My instinct was proven correct with the arrival of Shyne's first progeny on New Years Day.
Shyne comes close to perfection in all ways. She has the ideal, people loving temperament, almost flawless conformation, breathtaking movement, an illustrous pedigree and carries two colour genes to complete the package.
Shyne is one of my favourites of the Chetar Arabians mares.

Shyne carries two colour genes, Sabino Overo and Tobiano. She has
the classic 'two sided' tell-tale indication that a horse carryies
multiple white pattern colour genes, with each side appearing to be a completely different horse. Due to some aspects of the Sabino Overo gene causing similar markings that can be confused with, and are therefore hard to distinguish from, Tobiano, some of Shyne's markings could be the result of either gene. There are, however, some very distinct markings present on Shyne that do confirm she carries both Sabino Overo and Tobiano genes.
Shyne's definite Sabino Overo characteristics are a large white blaze that partially covers one nostril and completely covers the other, extends onto her upper and lower lips and chin and continues along her jawline in disconnected splashes that end past her throat. Her hind legs have distinct lightning strikes and disconnected white splashes. In addition to these solid white markings, Shyne's Sabino Overo can be confirmed by an intense concentration of white ticking on her belly and flanks, with fainter ticking appearing elswhere on her body, especially her tail head. All of Shyne's solid white markings are also laced, or jagged edged, with ticking and shadowing continuing into her coat. And finally, the ticking is becoming more intense with age. When Shyne arrived at Chetar Arabians little more than a year ago, the ticking she displays today was no where near as intense or widespread. All of the above are definitive Sabino Overo traits and have not been documented as being caused by any other gene. Shyne's Progeny

It appears that Shyning Lyte may carry a third Colour Gene. Over the recent months not only has Shyne's barrel ticking intensified, she has also developed what appears to be the beginning of Lacing over her topline, from her wither right through to her tail head, as seen in the photos opposite and below. As these markings develop further, and I perform more research on the developments, I am becoming more and more inclined to think that Shyne indeed carries a third White Pattern Colour Gene, and that is in fact Rabicano. Further evidence of this is the fact that Shyne's 2008/09 Season Filly, Chetar El Zahirah, looks to developing markings that, at this stage, can only be attributed to Rabicano.

I am extremely excited about both Shyne's and Zahirah's developing markings.. If Shyne does indeed carry the Rabicano Gene in addition to Tobiano and Sabino Overo, she is an extremely rare Part Bred Arabian mare!!
