It's been a long time coming, but at 6.15am on the 23rd December 2010 I finally experienced one of the most special moments in my life when my precious Paint Mare Docs Lil Puzzle brought into the world an exquisite coloured colt sired by Azzaam.
While I do admit I was a little disappointed when I realized he had boy bits, as I was dearly hoping I would be gifted with a filly from my beautiful Penny this time around - I was and still am absolutely ecstatic with Shakeel himself... Al Shakeel is Arabic for "The Handsome One", and boy does the name suit him to a tea! He is my idea of colour perfection, with him being a loudly marked Sabino Overo, and he has undoubtedly inherited the best qualities from both sire and dam in all aspects. I'd been waiting a long time to see the product of this pairing and my expectations were well and truly exceeded - Shakeel has a stunningly bright future ahead of him!

After months and months of nailbiting preparation and work, the weekend of the 20th and 21st November saw Chetar El Azizah, the first Purebred Arabian born under the Chetar Stud Name, the first foal from my wonderful mare Niarla Silver Shakizka, and the second born filly sired by Azzaam, grace the show ring in her debut performance at Werribee Park.
I personally hadn't been anywhere near a show ring for a few years and Ella was the first Chetar Arabians bred progeny I had fully prepared, trained and showed myself from beginning to end without any external help at all, so this was all very nerve-racking and extremely exciting for me as well as Ella experiencing her very first trip off the property - As with most things concerning my main man Azzaam though, I shouldn't have been worried in the least! My beautiful Azizah behaved impeccably throughout, travelling to and from the venue on her own without a hitch, and seemed to enjoy the atmosphere and her chance to shine in the show ring immensely.
The icing on the cake - Chetar El Azizah came home an "A" Class Reserve Champion Filly and Top 5 Purebred Female!!
The moment when the first dilute foal sired by Azzaam finally arrived when the lovely Caprice eventually decided the time had come to introduce her daughter to the world, almost six weeks after her original due date! An beautiful, typey filly that instantly stole all of our hearts was born in the wee hours of the 24th November 2010, just days after Azizah's very successful first showing [See News Below].
This filly has the most exceptionally temperament that I have ever experienced in a foal - She absolutely adores people and loves to lap up all the attention that anyone and everyone will give her, whether youu're a stranger or not! She was named for her truly remarkable, fearless temperament - "Chetar El Aneezah" - "The Friendly One". Inquisitive, smart, intelligent, beautiful and graceful - Aneezah proved to be much more than I was expecting from the cross between her sire and dam...And I for one am not complaining!!
