It wasn't all that long ago that I spruced up the tried and tested old website and relaunched a completely new and improved website for Chetar Arabians in October of 2008. I was reasonably happy with the design I'd come up with, but not completely.. I had some minor issues with it, and the layout and graphics etc weren't exactly what I wanted. I wasn't really sure what I wanted at the time, but I knew I wasn't 100% happy with the new look site... So, when I became housebound for a few weeks while I recuperated after some pretty serious injuries sustained during an accident with one of my horses, I decided I would make the effort to design a website that I could really get excited about. And I am very excited about this new site, and feel really proud of the results I've achieved this time.
The new Chetar Arabians website has been built with Macromedia Dreamweaver, which has essentially given me more options in the quality of the graphics and flash that I've been able to use. I'll be expanding upon the site, and improving upon all you can see already in the coming weeks and beyond. I've developed the site with the view to making updating it extremely easy, so there's going to be a lot more to see every time you visit the site. I hope you enjoy your visit to Chetar Arabians new website, and that you come back soon to check out all the new stuff I'll be uploading in the weeks to come!

Christmas & New Years' Foals
January 2009
The 2008/09 Breeding Season finished for Chetar Arabians somewhat earlier than expected this year.
Late on Christmas Day evening, my my beautiful Paint Mare Docs Lil Puzzle (Troubles White Cloud x Peppy She's A Doc) went into labour at 321 days gestation. She delivered an absolutely stunning 50% Arabian Bay Sabino Tobiano colt sired by the Straight Egyptian Stallion Kaysand Prince Of Dreams (Ali Kamar [iidusa] x Arundel House Sharah) early on Boxing Day morning. I have named him Chetar Al Shahkir.
Not to be outdone by her paddock mate, Chetar Arabians newest official member Shyning Lyte (Raven Lodge Born Brave x Bluegrass Snap Shot) decided it was time to bring her little bundle into the world at 9am on New Years Day morning, at 316 days gestation. A gorgeous 75% Arabian Solid Bay Filly, also sired by Kaysand Prince Of Dreams, with the most extreme head I have ever seen on a Part Bred Arabian! I have named this lovely young lady Chetar El Zahirah.

A New Arrival For Chetar Arabians
February 2009

I am intensely pleased to announce the forthcoming arrival of Chetar Arabians newest acquisition.
The beautiful 'Wayward Angel' comes to us from Kerry and Colin James of the widely reknowned Krystal Creek Arabians in NSW. Angel is a mare that I have admired for some time - I even enquired about her long before she was available for sale. An absolutely gorgeous Mahogany Bay Sabino Overo Tobiano Part Bred Arabian Mare that is just as beautifully natured as she is appealing on the outside. Angel is that dark a bay in colour that she appears black in some lights, and has been proven as a black breeder with the arrival of the stunning colt born to her this season at Krystal Creek (Krystal Creek Toy Soldier). Angel has been bred to Krystal Creek's awesome Purebred Arabian Stallion Santiago KEI for a 2009/10 foal for Chetar Arabians. Without a doubt, this baby is going to be absolutely breathtaking. I'm extremely excited about having not only Angel join Chetar, but also the welcome addition of Santiago KEI's bloodlines! Angel has been purchased specifically to breed to Azzaam in the future.
My sincerest thanks go to Kerry James for allowing the lovely Angel to become part of my life. Kerry has become a true friend in the past months, and I greatly appreciate her advice and for being there when I need it. She is truly one to be admired for her accomplishments and the Arabians Krystal Creek consistently produces.

Another New Addition For Chetar Arabians
March 2009

When you're presented with a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire a 'rarest of the rare' Coloured Purebred Arabian Mare of impeccable breeding not once, but twice, within a one year period, you know that you are undoubtedly one very lucky person!
It all began with my decision to begin searching for a linebred Naadirah female to breed to Azzaam - I have long been a fan of the El Shaklan - Naddirah cross and felt it was time to have this wonderful mare represented at Chetar Arabians. I began looking for my next dream girl, and within days I was contacted by an old friend who offered me a once in a lifetime opportunity -For the second time! I knew this young lady was destined to join Chetar. No-one knew of my intention to find our newest member, and yet, here was the perfect candidate offered to me within days of my making the decision!
I am unbelievably excited to announce the acquisition by Chetar Arabians of the lovely young filly, Royal Court Satin - aka Shay. Shay is a Wild Bay Sabino Overo Purebred Arabian Filly of truly impeccable breeding and extremely rare colouring. Shay carries the primitive wild sub-type Agouti allelle, and her Sabino Overo expression includes a solid white girth/barrel patch. Shay is sired by Naazaar (Anaza El Nizr x Naazifah), out of Venice (Sa'ardel x Nadaara), giving Shay a double cross to the immortal El Shaklan through Simeon Sa'ar, a triple cross to legendary mare Naadirah, and carrying the lines of Ruminaja Ali, Mustafa, Ambition and Sankt George within a few generations, as well as multiple crosses to Ansata Ibn Halima and Hadban Enzahi only slightly further back in her pedigree. All in all, a wonderful new addition to Chetar Arabians that will be a perfect bride for Azzaam!
A short introduction to Shay can be found on the Mares Page, as well as the link to her new Individual Page.
