Late afternoon of the 25th October 2009 saw the arrival of the first born progeny sired by Chetar Arabians Purebred Stallion AZZAAM. A huge Anglo colt with the biggest shoulder I'd ever seen on a newborn foal entered the world with no problems at 366 days gestation. Within minutes he was on his feet and leading his dam a merry dance, and it wasn't until five hours later than this gorgeous fella decided to lay down and have a rest! - And so he was named Chetar Al Zaheem, "Al Zaheem" translating to "The Strong One" in Arabic.
Chetar Al Zaheem is a superb example of the Arabian Thoroughbred cross. A handsome short, tapered head with huge liquid eyes, a fine hooky neck set high on a long laid back shoulder, coupled with a short back and loin and a huge, powerful hindquarter that's quickly becoming the trademark of his sire - All packaged with a very smart and willing, people loving temperament. Zaheem was bred to breed on, and most definitely has all of the qualities required to be a successful sire. Whether his future is as an entire or gelding, Zaheem has the potential to go to the top in the right hands!

Chetar Al Zaheem is the complete package! He is a fantastic combination of the best of breeding, conformation, type and temperament, with all of the goods to take his new owner right to the top!! Not only is Zaheem a well-conformed moving machine, with all of the external attributes needed to have a phenomenal future, whether as an entire or gelding, he is also one of the most lovely natured horses I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Zaheem adores human company, loves attention and is always keen to give his best efforts to whatever is asked of him. He is extremely intelligent, and learns very quickly. Zaheem is very laid-back and easy to do everything with, yet still turns heads when he turns it on! He's simply just a completely fuss-free boy that's an absolute gem to have around! Zaheem has been handled daily since birth with the view to him remaining entire. He is extremely respectful of both humans and horses and has already been taught the basics he needs to know thoroughly should he become a breeding stallion in the future. All of Zaheem's handling has been done in a way that makes it simple for one person to do all all of the daily upkeep tasks he may need - He does not need to be held by a second person nor even to be tied up to enable one person to fully rug him, groom him, or even pick out and trim his hooves etc. Zaheem is fantastic to catch, and will meet you at the gate every time you go to catch him. Zaheem adores being groomed, is great to wash, free lunges and line lunges on voice command. Zaheem responds to voice commands easily and rarely requires pressure to be applied in any situation. Though he's laid back and respectful, and has been educated to remain this way, Zaheem is still very much an Arabian Colt, and as the surrounding photos depict (in which Zaheem is cavorting after having been turned out from his stable in the same paddock he's been housed in since having been weaned in June 2010), Zaheem is extremely confident in himself and is already beginning to give us a glimpse of the very handsome, very masculine horse that he will mature into! Zaheem hadn't been worked or rugged for weeks, and was not given so much as a simple brushing prior to the surrounding photos being taken - He even had a great roll in the dirt while I was taking them! What you see on this page is Zaheem in unrugged paddock condition!
Having been recently measured at just over 14.2hh (148cm) at 12months of age, it is a certainty that Zaheem will easily reach 15.0hh at maturity. Based upon his breeding, current height and build, I expect Zaheem will exceed 15.0hh, and is more likely to mature around the 15.2 to 16.0hh mark. Chetar Al Zaheem is Colt Recorded with the AHSA [75% Anglo] and is currently for sale to the absolute best of homes only for $3,500 as a Gelding or $4,200 Entire. Chetar Al Zaheem possesses a wonderful pedigree that is extremely rare and completely unique in Anglo Arabian Breeding.
Zaheem's purebred Arabian sire, Azzaam, is linebred to legendary El Shaklan [carrying four crosses within a few generations] through Amir El Shaklan and Simeon Sa'ar, two of his most successful progeny. Azzaam also carries a double cross to the phenomenal show and breeding mare Sarika, also up close in his pedigree. Azzaam is by Valor, who is full brother to the Australian National Champion Valouria. Azzaam is paternal grandson of the Straight Russian superstar TR Viktor, who combines the lines of Nariadni [by Nabeg from Nariadnaia by Arax] and Muscalean [by Muscat from Koronata]. Azzaam combines the greatest and most successful Russian lines in history with that of true to type El Shaklan and Sarika line breeding. Chetar Al Zaheem is the first born progeny and the only bay/bay based foal sired by Azzaam to date [as at the end of the 2010/11 breeding season].
Zaheem is the one and only Anglo Arabian get by Azzaam and the only Anglo Arabian grandget of Valor.
Chetar Al Zaheem is from the 50% Anglo Arabian Mare Glenmar Miz Elegance, aka Miselle, who is by the great Danteffa [by BPL Dante from Sereffa], from the Thoroughbred Mare Satin Supreme [Bold Citadel x Aircraft].
Miselle is one of only three [surviving] Anglo Arabians ever sired by Danteffa - Two of which are female [the third a gelding], making Miselle one of only two Anglo Arabian females ever sired by Danteffa - Miselle is the only one of Danteffa's Anglo progeny to have been bred on with, having produced two 75% Anglo Arabians for Chetar Arabians during her time here - One colt and one filly [Chetar Enchanted Dreams by Kaysand Prince Of Dreams]. Miselle has now been sold to a lovely new, permament, recreational/pleasure home, where she will not be used for breeding purposes in the future.
Chetar Al Zaheem is the only Anglo Arabian maternal grandget of Danteffa's - There is but one other colt that can claim Danteffa as grandsire, having been sired by a Purebred son that has since been gelded, from a ASB/TB mare - and therefore making him 50/50 Arabian/TB and paternal grandson to Danteffa in breeding.
Zaheem is the only colt from a broodmare daughter of Danteffa's (both Purebred and Anglo), and the only high percentage [more than 50%] Arabian bred male Anglo Arabian grandget of Danteffa.
