The Chetar Arabians Breeding Program is dedicated to obtaining that extra feature of colour in conformationally correct, typey and versatile Purebred and Derivative Arabians of select bloodlines consistently reknowned for their prepotency in producing extremely high quality individuals that excel across a range of disciplines.
First and foremost, Chetar Arabians strives to meet the Standard Of Excellence with all of the Chetar horses, and in turn their progeny, and if they inherit a glamorous splash of colour in addition to clearly being an Arabian of the highest calibre, then the goals of the Chetar Arabians Breeding Program have been met.
15.2 hh Flaxen Chestnut Sabino Overo Rabicano Purebred Arabian Colt
In 2005 I began the search for a sire that would represent the future of the Chetar Arabians Breeding Program. I had an ideal in my mind, a colt with a set of 'must have' attributes, one of those being a reasonable amount of colour. A lot of research led me to believe that I would only find the man that would suit my requirements in the Part Bred Arabian world rather than the Purebred as I had been hoping - What I was searching for was not to be found in Australian Purebred Arabians at the time... Or so I had thought. In May of 2006 I met the sire of my dreams as a young colt still on his dam and it was love at first sight! Azzaam was all I'd been searching for plus much more!
AZZAAM STANDING AT STUD

Palomino Tobiano Sabino Overo Rabicano 75.8% Part Bred Arabian Colt
The 2010/11 Breeding Season at Chetar Arabians saw the arrival of one of, if not the most, important foals to have been born at the stud since its establishment in 2006... The perfect outcross for Azzaam's daughters, and the perfect sire to take Chetar Arabians Breeding Program into the future.
Chetar Al Shareeq arrived on the morning of the 9th October 2010 and from the first moment I knew I had something special in this young man. Not only was he exactly what I was dearly hoping for in colour and gender, but his type, conformation and temperament far exceeded my fondest wishes. The excitement I immediately felt upon Shareeq's delivery has not waned in the slightest in the months since his arrival.
Shareeq is my ideal Derivative Arabian, making him the perfect sire of Chetar Arabians next generation...
